Early at 6:30 we will leave Puerto Natales by car towards the estancia where the ascent to mount Cerro La Olla starts (also known as Cerro Mocho). We will go up all the time, with no trail, across pampas, native forests, rivers, and steep rocky slopes, until we reach the top. This is a wild and pristine area and the people in your group are probably the only ones you will see here.
From the summit at 1,300 m.a.s.l. you will be able to contemplate lakes, forests, glaciers, the Última Esperanza fjord, the Patagonian Andes, and looking to the north, the mountains of Torres del Paine.
To return we will take the same or similar way down; and our car will take us back to Puerto Natales. This high difficulty excursion takes the whole day.
