Perito Moreno Semi-Private Full-Day Trip

The excursion takes a long day, combining the car (or van) trip with the walk on the stairways and balconies over lake Argentino, from which you will admire this ice giant from many different angles. Departure is at 6:00 in the morning toward the Argentinian town of El Calafate, located 270 km away from Puerto Natales. During the ride you will observe native wildlife such as guanacos and rheas on the Patagonian steppe. Also enjoy the views of lake Argentino and the river Santa Cruz on their way to the Atlantic Ocean. You may request some photo stops son the way.

Passing through El Calafate, we will reach Los Glaciares National Park, and then the Perito Moreno itself. The easy access to the glacier allows you to get super close to it without any dangers; this also makes it possible for elderly people and even for disabled people to visit and enjoy this amazing place. From the balconies you will be able to observe ice calvings (dettachments into the lake) that happen constantly. This glacier is one of the few in the World that still shows a growth in its ice volume.

There is the option to take a boat tour to see the glacier from the lake’s level.

After spending some time around the glacier we will return to the car to travel back to Puerto Natales. You will be back at your hotel at around 10 pm.
