Icebergs Bay and River Grey Kayak Trip

This amazing full-day kayak trip starts in Puerto Natales. Our private van will pick you up in the morning to drive all the way to the shores of Grey Lake, in Torres del Paine National Park. The journey to the southern access to the Park is really beautiful, through dense humid forests with views of the giant Torres del Paine mountains at every turn of the road. Once at the lake shore, the guides will give a detailed explanation of safety and instructions for paddling efficiently, while you enjoy the view of mount Paine Grande and glacier Grey. During approximately 1 hour, we will be paddling among big pieces of blue ice that have broken off from glacier Grey. From this gorgeous bay, full of icebergs, there is also a majestic view of mounts Paine Grande, Olguin, and Los Cuernos.

After paddling in lake Grey’s bay, we will go down along river Grey. This river serpents inside deep canyons with steep rock faces, creating sections of rapids that are exciting and entertaining. There are many different species of water birds that inhabit the river.

At our favorite spot for a break, we will get off the kayaks to have a most delicious lunch by the shore.

Then the paddling continues next to the Paine Mountains to complete 15 miles / 24 km., the whole length of river Grey, until its milky waters meet the turquoise river Serrano. After having paddled for 4 - 5 hours, the trip comes to an end at Pueblito Serrano. Cheers!
